This morning I received a polite but definite letter from amazon telling me to stop selling this app because it violates there terms of service. Therefore, I have removed the app from sale on the app store.
Obviously this is very frustrating for me, but there doesn’t seem to be anything I can do about it. I have a couple of other apps in development, and I’ll blog about them when they’re ready.
Not a good start to the day!

that seems a bit crap, surely they want people to find out how much it is on amazon. It’s not as if it offered comparisons to other available web shops did it ?

That is teh suck! Was there anything in the ToS that made it obvious that Amazon would shoot you down?

Nothing that I read in advance of writing the app, but the terms of service are quite explicit about mobile apps. It says you can’t use the amazon web service in a mobile app without permission. I contacted amazon through their web service website about 10 days ago, but I have received no reply as yet.

No it didn’t, but the terms of their web service are quite clear. I have asked permission to youse their web service in my mobile app but as yet I have received no reply.
